The nice fall days have slipped away. Warm Jackets and beanies are our attire. The spawning Salmon have now died and are laying along the banks, slowly being eaten by their prey. The fishing days have become shorter and harder. This hasn't stopped us from getting ou there. We've been doing a little fishing and also duck hunting has become a new hobby. This is a post to cover some of the outings we've been having in December so far.

I spent a weekend with Tanner and Patrick duck hunting and fishing the Upper Rogue River. Saturday we spent the afternoon jumping ditches and small ponds for Ducks and Sunday we took my Boat out to Lost Creek Lake and found some Geese. After that slowed down we hit up the river for a few hours and the bros hooked into some late summer steelhead.

Leader Shawn Randles and I got away one day after work to slay some steelhead. I nailed one on the swing which felt so good! Shawn had the hot hand getting 4 fish on the big stone. Seems the steelhead aren't too interested in the egg fly this time of year.

Gotta love the yota!

Big THANK YOU to Loon Outdoors for seeing the Hooked On Life vision. Give them a follow on Instagram and check out their website for all your fishing needs.

I'd also like to give a THANKS to PNW Nets for hooking up nets to give to kids and having a heart for the next generation of flyfishers. It's been great getting to know the Owner Ryan and spending time with him Swinging flies on our local rivers here in Southern Oregon.

If you see our vision and would like to get involved in any way or form, please shoot us an email. God Bless you all! Happy Holidays (Merry Christmas, Happy New Year).
